The Enjoyment of Life
The scriptures tell us that as long as we have attachment to sense gratification (people and possessions) we will encounter suffering.
Buddha taught we suffer because we want things to be permanent and also because these things are always changing. We are not happy when we are not able to do the things that we want to do. Buddha taught that everything in life is impermanent; nothing ever stays the same.
The scriptures reveal there is an alternative in life and that is by practicing Gnosis a person will be relieved from the sufferings in life.
Desires for sense gratification are the greatest enemies of human life.
But by the strength of Gnosis one can conquer the material senses and the mind.
